The Apollo EV
In March 2023, The Group announced its entry into the lucrative luxury smart electric passenger car segment with the unveiling of its Apollo EVision S concept car in CIIE 2021. The Group unveiled the Apollo EV strategic plan on electrification with the announcement of the grand debut of the new AFMG smart luxury electric vehicle model in 2023. This smart luxury electric vehicle is developed based on a platform developed by GLM a subsidiary of the Company in Japan, and G2J advanced engineering prototype while inheriting Apollo’s hypercar DNA with carbon-fiber bodyworks and striking aesthetics, presenting the Group’s platform engineering expertise, latest mobility technology and the next step towards the future of mobility.

Apollo Advanced Technologies (AAT) performs research and development of mobility technologies that can be adopted in our products and/or licensed by external users. AAT also offers comprehensive outsourcing services from design, engineering, simulation, prototyping, vehicle testing to pre-production prototypes. AAT currently has operations in Japan (as GLM Co., Ltd.) and in the United Kingdom. In addition to the two operating business units, AFMG also makes investments in mobility related businesses. Two such notable investee companies are Divergent Technologies, the world’s first 3D printing automotive manufacturing platform and EV Power, a leading electric vehicle charging solutions provider in Greater China.

History
Apollo Future Mobility Group Ltd. (previously known as Apollo Automobil GmbH. – 2016-2021), and before that, (2004–2016, known as Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur). In August 2013, Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur filed for bankruptcy and went into liquidation. In January 2016, the company was purchased by Hong Kong consortium and was renamed Apollo Automobil GmbH.

Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur – 2004–2016
The Gumpert Apollo was a sports car produced by German automotive manufacturer Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH. Gumpert. The Gumpert Apollo production ran from 2005 till 2012 when the company filed for bankruptcy in 2013, thereby ending the production of the Apollo. A total of 150 units produced between 2005 and 2012. The car was 2-door coupé with gullwing doors, rear mid-engine 4.2L (260 cu in) twin-turbocharged V8 with a CIMA 6-speed sequential manual transmission, rear-wheel-drive.
