Land Rover is a British brand of predominantly four-wheel drive, off-road capable vehicles, owned by multinational car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). JLR currently builds Land Rovers in Brazil, China, India, Slovakia, and the United Kingdom. The Land Rover name was created in 1948 by the Rover Company for a utilitarian 4WD off-road vehicle; currently, the Land Rover range consists solely of upmarket and luxury sport utility vehicles. Land Rover is reimagining the future of modern luxury by design through its distinct British brands. Introducing a new era characterised by the advent of all-electric vehicles, combining exhilarating performance, eye-catching and dramatic design that commands attention, and a captivating sense of theatre that evokes strong emotions. Land Rovers are in demand around the world and in Fiscal 2021/22 we sold 376,381 vehicles in 123 countries. Land Rover is the global leader of luxury SUVs through its three families of Range Rover, Discovery and Defender. with a model range embracing fully electric and hybrid electric technologies, as well as the latest petrol and diesel engines. History

The Land Rover brand began with the production of the iconic Series I in 1948 . The classic Range Rover was introduced in 1970 to satisfy demand for vehicles with more refinement and luxury and the Land Rover Discovery made its first appearance in 1989. Land Rover entered the compact SUV segment with the Freelander in 1997 and the popular Range Rover Sport was added to the fleet in 2005.
