Polestar (Nasdaq: PSNY) is the Swedish electric performance car brand with a focus on uncompromised design and innovation, and the ambition to accelerate the change towards a sustainable future. Volvo Cars acquired Polestar in 2015. Originally, Polestar was a performance tuning division within Volvo, specializing in high-performance versions of Volvo models. Since its acquisition, Polestar has transitioned into a standalone electric vehicle manufacturer, creating its own models

The Polestar logo is a stylized interpretation of the Northern Star, a guiding celestial light. It’s designed to be a visual representation of the company’s role as a “guiding star” within the Volvo Car Group.
