Longbow: Years in the making
Longbow is the realisation of years of planning and preparation for its founders Daniel Davey, Jenny Keisu, and Mark Tapscott. Since first embarking on this journey, the trio have expanded the team and made significant progress. The company benefits from the lightweighting and high-performance expertise of its engineering team, calling upon decades of experience in road and motorsport including Formula E, Lotus, Aston Martin, Ariel, and Tesla to name but a few.
Longbow was founded in 2023 by Daniel Davey, Jenny Keisu, and Mark Tapscott.
Daniel Davey:
Daniel started his career at Tesla in 2010 in Palo Alto, California before launching other Silicon Valley companies in Europe and returning to Tesla to launch Model 3. Daniel was the first employee at Lucid Motors outside of North America launching the EMEA business from zero-250 people across 5 countries.
At Longbow, Daniel will lean on over 15 years of experience in building and launching companies, developing brands and building partnerships to ensure that Longbow doesn’t just build great products but is also a company that moves at the speed of lightness.
Longbow is not just building a new category of car it is a new type of Automotive OEM.
Mark Tapscott:
With over two decades in the automotive industry, Mark has launched and grown innovative brands globally. His experience spans key roles at Tesla, Lucid Motors, and BYD driving new market entries and product launches.
At Longbow, Mark will leverage his engineering background and expertise in lightweight sports car design and performance, having spent his early career developing Lotus Elise and GT race cars, often racing at Brands Hatch, his favourite circuit. His track record of success in sustainable mobility and his visionary approach make him the ideal COO to drive our mission forward.
Jenny Keisu:
Jenny started her career as a business lawyer and has an extensive background from the private equity industry, where she spent more than a decade in leadership roles. As CEO of X Shore, she pioneered the electric transformation in the boating industry, taking X Shore from concept to market leader with several models and presence on three continents.
At Longbow, Jenny will be able to leverage her broad skillset and experience from having built and led several companies through financing rounds, setting up operations and start of manufacturing. She is passionate about combining the experiences from all three founders – and the companies they have been involved with – to build an amazing product with an attractive pricepoint, and thereby serving a large market that no one else is focusing on.
