China Youngman Automobile Group Co., Ltd. was a Chinese manufacturer of buses and trucks located in Jinhua, Zhejiang province. The company was founded in 2001 to manufacture automobiles. However, its passenger car business appears to have ceased operation by mid-2015.
Youngman had set up three subgroups under its leadership: commercial vehicle group, passenger car group and automobile components group. The company is a comprehensive automobile industrial group that produces and sells NEOPLAN passenger coaches, MAN brand heavy type trucks, Lotus cars and automobile spare parts and Spyker automobiles on June, 2013.
In August 2012, Youngman agreed to acquire 29.9% of the Dutch luxury sportscar maker Spyker N.V., and the companies agreed to form two new joint ventures.The Spyker P2P joint venture will focus on the development of a new luxury sports utility vehicle, with ownership split 75:25 between Youngman and Spyker respectively. The Spyker Phoenix joint venture will focus on the development of a range of premium cars based on Saab’s Phoenix platform, with ownership split 80:20 between Youngman and Spyker respectively.
During Beijing Automobile Fair of November 2006, Youth Automobile Group introduced the Lotus Project and made a formal contract, and the combined R&D center was established. Under close cooperation with British Lotus Automobile Technology Engineering Co. Ltd, Youth Automobile Group will successively launch eight types of state-of-the-art passenger car with high-end technology and high quality, including sports car, household car, MPV, SUV etc. with a displacement of 1.6L to 3.0L. The Lotus Logo will be put on these vehicles which are manufactured from the Lotus technical platform. The combined R&D center has jointly been established be Youth Automobile Group and Lotus Automobile Technology Engineering Co., Ltd, which has an expert team of 300-400 persons who are from home and broad to manufacture the self-owned brand car with European style for launching in the Chinese market of top-grade car.
China Youngman Automobile Group Co., Ltd. engaged strategic cooperation with world’s leading German Neoplan Passenger Car, and the products cover all domains: long journey tourist and public vehicles and special passenger cars. The passenger cars are also exported to Europe, U.S.A., Russia, South Korea, Singapore and Middle East.
German Neoplan under leadership of MAN group is the one of the famous global passenger car manufacturers. It has already had over 70 years’ history for production of passenger cars. It’s also a well-recognized top brand in the world’s passenger car industry.
China Youngman Automobile Group Co., Ltd. cooperated with German MAN and has successfully developed 5 series, total of nearly 40 types of vehicle models, such as: tractor series, special car series, special car chassis series, military vehicle series and light trucks according to the market demands of special type vehicles for domestic logistical transportation, exceptional-dimension goods transportation, oil field and firefighting. The products have been quickly sold in domestic quick logistics market, dangerous goods transportation market and exceptional-dimension goods transportation market and to domestic famous enterprises like Daqing Oil Field.
